Guatemalan cuisine is an exotic mixture of traditional colonial Spanish and indigenous Mayan cooking that is both delicious and fun to prepare. Classes are hands-on and limited to a small number of students. The classes are taught by our native Guatemalan Chefs Leivi and Felisa, both natives of Sacatepequez who have specialized in the regional cuisine handed down from mother to daughter. Frijol Feliz offers a wide variety of cooking classes and culinary tours. Learn how to prepare the dishes in our kitchen and then enjoy your meal in either our beautiful dining room or patio. For Vegetarians Please note that most Guatemalan dishes revolve around a variety of delicious sauces; therefore, most dishes that contain meat can easily be to tailored to your needs by substituting it for fish, tofu, or more vegetables. Times and Reservations Cooking Classes are held daily at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. and at 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. in the afternoon. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Please make a reservation via our online booking system or contact us via email or Facebook if you have any questions. Please note that classes are held in Spanish; however, a class facilitator/translator will be provided.
